I’m prouder of my fat than you will EVER be of your bones.
Fuck you, beauty ideals.
Wow, how mean-spirited. Reminds me of all the “real women have curves” bullshit that drives me crazy.
I’m really sick of people of degrading the body types of others, whether thin women mocking fat woman or fat women mocking thin women or whatever is in between.
Dear Sycamore,
I really didn’t mean my this post to be mean spirited in the slightest. I realize that intention and impact are very different things, and I’ll be the first to admit that it wasn’t very well thought out. It was more of a note-to-self type of thing. The fact of the matter is, I’ve wasted too much of my life trying to be something I’m not. At the beginning of this year, I ate hardly anything for two weeks. At the end of those two weeks I was mad, tired, and 193 pounds. I then spent the next six months getting over it. At the end of those six months I was happy, refreshed, and 193 pounds. I really should have said “I’m prouder of my fat than I will ever be of my bones.” For that, I’m very sorry. I never meant to hurt any feelings. Some of the best people I know are skinny, and I love them every bit as much as my fellow fatties.
Sincere apologies,
